**Department**
Oil operations department - Gas lift

**Primary purpose of job**
Operates and adjusts production facilities as directed within designated limits to ensure maximum recovery/injection on

assigned shift.
- Conducts production tests, includes removing/ changing orifice plates at test separator, switching over valves on manifold,

adjusting levels, pressures and chokes.
- Commission meters includes opening. shutting the inlet valve and installing correct size orifice plates.
- Logging readings of temperatures, pressures and flows at the required operation
- carries out routine/ non routine changeover of pumps, operates the manifold valves for diversion of wells and prepares

equipment for maintenance activities.

**Experience & Skills**

Minimum 4 years in operating process plant in the oil or petrochemical industry.

**Education**
Completion of Secondary education followed by 3 years formal technical training in process plant operations plus relevent

short courses in safety, plant operations or equivalent.
