The Hamilton International School embraces the individuality of every learner. We place teaching and learning at the very core of what we do. We have a dedicated indoor sports centre with a full-sized basketball court, two swimming pools, tennis courts, dance studio and a fitness centre, as well as seating for large sporting events. Outside sporting facilities include a FIFA certified football pitch, basketball courts and an athletics track.

The Secondary School is currently open to students in Grades 6 to 11 and will open Grade 12 in August 2024. We offer a high quality, bespoke, International Curriculum in Grades 6, 7 and 8. In Grades 9 and 10, our students begin the High School Diploma and we aim to offer two pathways in Grades 11 and 12: the High School Diploma and the IB Diploma.

**About the role**

We are looking to appoint an exceptional PE teacher to join our amazing team who:

- Has experience in teaching PE from Grade 6 - 12
- Brings a wealth of experience in a range of sports
- Is passionate about teaching and learning with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Will be committed to the vision of igniting passion, purpose and potential in our students
- Can contribute to the development of the PE Department offering creative opportunities to enrich the learning experience of students at THIS
- Has experience of planning and curriculum development
- Adapts the curriculum to fit student needs while maintaining overall class progress
- Assesses and records student development, while identifying problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement
- Has excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, parents, and school leaders
- Maintains high levels of behaviour among students, while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines
- Is passionate about learning beyond the curriculum
