Gis Surveyor

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Site Survey & Inspection**:

- Conduct on-site surveys and inspections to gather data for geographical mapping and analysis.
- Measure and record physical site features, including terrain, infrastructure, and environmental factors.
- Prepare detailed survey notes and photographs to document site conditions.
- **GIS Data Management**:

- Collect, analyze, and maintain GIS data, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.
- Use GIS software (ArcGIS) to create, update, and manage digital maps and spatial data layers.
- Support the creation of maps for project planning, design, and construction purposes.
- **Survey Analysis & Reporting**:

- Analyze survey results and generate reports that clearly outline findings, potential issues, and recommended actions.
- Coordinate with project teams to incorporate GIS data into planning and design processes.
- Assist in the preparation of environmental and engineering reports using GIS data.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with engineers, planners, and other surveyors to integrate GIS information into project development.
- Provide technical support on GIS and surveying aspects during project execution.
- **Software Utilization**:

- Utilize AutoCAD and ArcGIS for mapping, designing, and data visualization tasks.
- Perform data manipulation and integration for GIS-based analysis.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure high levels of accuracy and quality in all surveying and GIS work.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while performing field surveys.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Completion of Secondary Education followed by a **three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering**.
- A certificate course in **AutoCAD** and **ArcGIS** is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of **5 years** of experience in site inspection, investigation, and surveying, preferably within a civil engineering or construction environment.
- Proven experience in using GIS software (ArcGIS) and AutoCAD for survey data processing and mapping.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of surveying techniques and equipment.
- Proficient in GIS software (ArcGIS) and AutoCAD, with the ability to perform data analysis and produce accurate maps.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work in field conditions and perform physical tasks related to surveying.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
