**Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Rotating**

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer Rotating for a 6-month contract (with the possibility of extension). In this role, you will assume sole responsibility for mechanical engineering work as per the project scope. This is a key position for an experienced professional with extensive knowledge in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the execution of projects with major contractors or consultants.

You will work closely with the Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager to ensure project success, handling a range of tasks from conceptual engineering through to detailed design. If you have a strong background in mechanical engineering and are experienced in managing high-profile projects, we encourage you to apply.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Engineering Design and Analysis**: Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering and design based on project scope, design basis, project specifications, and applicable design codes and standards.
- **Task and Deliverable Preparation**: Prepare and review various technical documents, including:

- Mechanical Data Sheets
- Equipment Specifications
- Material Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase
- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and Tabulation
- Vendor Document Review (VDR)
- Design Calculations (e.g., API 650, API 620, ASME Sec VIII Div 1 and 2)
- Equipment General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), nozzle orientation drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings.
- **Client Interaction**: Attend progress reviews, design reviews, and clarification meetings with clients to discuss project specifications, timelines, and technical requirements.
- **Standards Compliance**: Ensure designs comply with international standards such as API, ASME, and other relevant codes.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- **Education**: Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with major contractors or consultants.
- **Software Knowledge**: Familiarity with relevant design and analysis software tools for mechanical engineering.
- **Standards Knowledge**: Experience with international standards such as API 650, API 620, ASME Sec VIII Div 1 and 2.
- **Additional Expertise**: Working knowledge of SHELL DEP (preferred).
- **Regional Experience**: Qatar regional project execution experience is highly preferred.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design codes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and internal team coordination.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.

**Working Hours**:

- **Working hours** are from **8:00 AM to 6:00 PM**, with a **1-hour lunch break**.
- **Overtime (OT) will be** **paid as per Qatar Labour Law**.
