Technical Department has an exciting opportunity for Senior Manager Projects & Systems that will be based here in Doha, Qatar.

You will be overseeing a diverse team of specialists to ensure Technical department have the systems, tools and processes required to deliver a safe, efficient and cost-effective maintenance operation. Drive and lead the strategic selection, implementation and support of IT Systems related to Technical Department systems operations and business data analytics. Will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Technical, Finance, Group Procurement and IT in order to align strategic objectives and achieve continuous improvements. Responsible for the establishment of a business systems support team to service both existing and future systems

Strategic Accountabilities;
- Define, develop and continuously refine a five-year rolling Business Systems strategy for Technical Department, considering fleet complexity, growth, operational requirements and cutting-edge technologies.
- Carry out periodic benchmarking of Technical Processes, which would be a key input to the Continuous Improvement Program. Assesses future technologies/systems and defines the business needs for the Technical Division.
- Identify, propose and implement automation / efficiency improvement initiatives across Technical.
- Responsible for the selection and implementation of an appropriate Technical Department Function System, which caters to the complex operational requirements of Qatar Airways.

Operational Accountabilities
- Direct Business Process initiatives to map, re-engineer, challenge, improve and document business process changes that will lead to automation / efficiency improvement across Technical Division. Provide ongoing strategic and tactical support to Technical Departments so that business processes are supported with relevant Systems.
- Provide direction to Technical Department with data and information, to make intelligent business decisions, especially regarding Reliability and On Time Performance.
- Provide direction for the reporting of Key Performance Indicators, in order to measure operational performance and pursue improvement accordingly.
- Responsible for Budget Control, Product Quality, Management of functional gaps, audit controls, Change Management, Compliance to the company policies as well as Process Integration between the streams.
- Direct project support function to ensure consistency in the project management techniques - define and implement a common repository of project artefacts and set a framework for expert support and review of project initiation and planning of deliverable.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

Qualification and Experience
- Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
- Preferred with Engineering Degree and/or MBA is an advantage.
- Project Management qualifications / process improvement methodologies
- You must have 10 years of Job-related experience
- Aviation experience is beneficial. Organization policies, products and processes relative to the area of employment and Proven ability to perform under pressure, be agile and flexible to meet the demands of a dynamic airline.

- Proven ability to use Project Management methodologies.
