**Position Title**: Digital Print Operator

**Location**: Doha

**Reports To**: Production Manager / Print Supervisor

**Job Overview**:
The Digital Print Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining digital printing equipment to produce high-quality print materials. This role involves preparing print jobs, setting up equipment, ensuring color accuracy, managing print quality, and troubleshooting any technical issues. The Digital Print Operator will collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards while maintaining safety and efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Printing Operations**:

- Set up and operate digital printing equipment, such as wide-format printers, digital presses, and other specialized devices.
- Monitor print jobs to ensure the correct specifications are met, including paper type, size, resolution, and color.
- Adjust printer settings for optimal print quality and productivity.
- Perform pre-press and post-press operations, such as trimming, finishing, and binding.
- **Job Preparation and Setup**:

- Review work orders and print specifications to ensure accuracy before starting the print job.
- Load the appropriate materials and substrates into the printers.
- Calibrate printers and maintain color accuracy through profiling and color management processes.
- Maintain knowledge of various print formats, finishes, and special requests.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of print equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to print quality, equipment malfunctions, or material handling.
- Keep track of ink, paper, and other supplies to ensure inventory is adequately stocked.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct quality checks on printed materials, ensuring adherence to job specifications, color consistency, and print quality.
- Make adjustments as necessary to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
- Document and report any deviations from quality standards.
- **Workflow Management**:

- Work with the production team to prioritize and schedule jobs to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with designers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure job requirements are met.
- Assist with organizing, storing, and tracking finished printed products.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow safety protocols while operating printing equipment and handling materials.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding the operation of printing machinery and workplace safety.
- **Customer Interaction (if applicable)**:

- Communicate with customers (internal or external) to clarify job specifications, handle queries, and ensure satisfaction with the final product.
- Make recommendations for improving print projects based on customer needs.

**Required Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in print technology preferred.
- Proven experience as a digital print operator or in a similar role in the printing industry.
- Proficiency with digital printing equipment and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software).
- Strong knowledge of print materials, inks, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with color management, proofing systems, and print production techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with wide-format printers, UV printers, or other specialized digital printing technologies.
- Strong understanding of digital workflow systems and pre-press processes.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability practices in printing.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 kg) as needed.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to work in varying temperature and noise levels in the production environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position, with potential for overtime depending on workload.
- Shifts may vary based on production needs, including nights and weekends.
- Fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding work environment.
