**IT Consultant**

The role IT Consultant reports to the IT Director and reports to the other leaders in the Department as per the Project/Program requirements, is responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive

information technology strategy to optimize the posture of as per the international standards.

The complexity of this position requires a leadership and “one-man office” approach that is engaging,

imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders/heads inside the IT

Department to set the best balance between strategies and other priorities at the department level

**Duties and responsibilities**

The IT Consultant will be required to perform the following basic functions that include, but not limited to

Responsible for the strategic leadership of the IT Departments’ development programs

Provide guidance and counsel to the IT Department and key members of the leadership team, working closely with project managers, engineers, leaders, and entities in defining objectives for information technology strategy, while building relationships and goodwill

Work with department leadership team to oversee the formation and operations of IT Department. Promote collaborative, empowered working environments across department, removing barriers and realizing possibilities

Engage in professional development of the department to maintain continual growth in professional skills and knowledge

Provide leadership philosophy for the Information Technology Department Team to create a strong

bridge between other departments and entities inside build respect for the contributions of all and bring groups together to share information and resources and create better decisions, policies and practices for IT Department

Mentor the Information Technology Department’s Team members and implement professional development plans for all members of the team

Represent IT Department on committees and boards which related to IT Director Office.

Perform special projects, tasks, documentations and other duties as assigned by the Information Technology Heads/Leads and IT Director’s Office

Strategy Advisor to IT Department. Work closely with IT leaders, Project Managers,Engineers, Technical Experts across the Department

Create education and awareness programs and advise team members/departments at all levels on

strategy and best practices

Pursue IT departments new initiatives to address unique needs in the projects till the project assigned to a Project Manager

**Accountabilities**

Accountable for the performance in four key areas:
1. Department Strategy

2. New Innovative Initiatives

3. Project Management

Accountable for any departmental Project Trainings Requirements

**Education Qualifications**

bachelor’s degree in Management Information Science or other related field is required; an advanced

PG degree is preferred.

**Mandatory Skills**

The emphasis of this position is on leadership and judgment, with a sophisticated ability to work with

other leaders and to set the best balance between strategies and other priorities at the department

level

Experience as an PMO, IT Application Manager;managing an information technology department’s

Understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools

Significant experience in computing and information technology methodologies, IT network

concepts, Server and Storage technologies and various Application

A background check, and verification of eligibility for employment, will be required prior to hire.

Work closely with IT leaders, Project Managers,Technical experts across the department that

requires an in-depth understanding of the IT environment in their function/department

**Other characteristics such as personal characteristic**

Excellent communication and social skills.

Effective interpersonal skills and relationship
- building skills.

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives

Persuasive and can work effectively with in the department and communicate information technology related concepts to technical and nontechnical staff

Experience advising and collaborating with senior. management.

The ability to work in a team/collaborative environment with a broad range of constituencies is essential.

Ability to exhibit maturity, reliability, composure,and stability under pressure.

Able to give and take constructive criticism well and be gracious and slow to anger.

**Professional Certification**

Professional certifications in software engineering especially in Microsoft Technologies, Oracle, MS Azure

is highly desirable.

**Experience**

A minimum of 5 years’ direct work experience as a head/manager of IT Applications, including all

aspects of process development and execution

Experience in developing and administering an information technology strategy program in a

Complex IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
