The primary responsibilities of the **Senior Network Engineer**:

- Handle daily network and security projects and tasks
- Provide supervision and required assistance to Network Engineer(s)
- Scheduling and Overseeing Preventive Maintenance of the Network Infrastructure
- Support and administer Network Security environments in line with IT security policy
- Monitor Network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- To take the responsibility for delivering complex network implementations and following the MEEZA’s network and security standard architecture
- Ensure Network documentation is updated and also manage Network Inventories and spares
- To act as a point of escalation for network issues (Event handling and incident resolution)
- Troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with Network Engineers on network optimisation
- Create, document, and implement procedures related to solution builds, device configurations and deployments (with the Solution Architect team)
- Develop, test, and release network solutions and deliverables
- Manage Configuration of all Network equipment by maintaining the configuration backups.
- Self-motivated to take ownership of projects without much supervision
- Willing to work flexible hours and on weekends
- Ability to time-slice between multiple networks and multiple customer requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients on both a business, technical and operational level
- Ability to diagnose various network-related issues
- Ability to research network technical issues and implement resolution strategies when required
- To work within structured and defined service management practices (Incident, Change, Configuration, Release Management, etc)
- To work and be measured against strict Service Level Agreements
- Provide quality assurance validation and verification of Change and Release Management processes
- To provide a technical lead presence in the implementation of client solutions
- To maintain an accurate reflection of all client solutions through Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB), documentation and online portals
- Continually improve build, release and installation process by integrating additional automation systems
- Provide clients with clear, concise updates in relation to their solution

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Experience from a managed services provider class networks and operations
- Well knowledge/experience on MPLS networks (L2VPN/L3VPN/TE)
- Well knowledge/experience on advanced routing and switching (L2/L3)
- Well knowledge/experience on the service provider routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP)
- Well-knowledge/experience on Next-Generation Firewalls, Next Generation IPS and APT solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortigate)
- Well knowledge/experience on Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco AMP, and Cisco ISE
- Well, knowledge/experience on Cisco ISR and ASR Routers and Cisco /Aruba Switch.
- Well knowledge/experience on Data Centre technologies and platforms (as, Cisco Nexus 7K/5K/2K)
- Well knowledge/experience on Cisco Computing Systems (Cisco UCS) and Cisco SAN Switches
- Knowledge/experience on the network and server load balancers like F5 BIG-IP LTM and ASM.
- Hands on experience managing and implementing virtual networks
- Cisco Optical or Unified Communications Experience is a plus
- Knowledge/experience on any Network Management System (as, Cisco Prime, MRTG/PRTG, HP OV) and readying reports
- Visio design/diagramming skills
- In-depth troubleshooting and problem analysis skills

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- CCIE RS or SP or SEC with 5 years of practical hands-on experience
- At least holding two CCxP certification specializations from Cisco Systems
- ITIL Certified
