Lead Design Engineer

**Key Accountability**:

- Provide technical input in preparation of proposal with detailed scope of work (technical details) for various customers.
- Prepare scope of work, BoQ, etc. for procurement of major materials for procurement process.
- Review technical proposals received from suppliers and prepare technical evaluation reports for procurement purposes.
- Provide technical support to construction team to ensure that construction is performed properly in terms of design and scope.
- Ensure that agreed-upon corrective actions to mitigate the effects of design variances are planned and carried out.
- Plan and schedule design deliverables, assign resources ensuring a smooth and timely completion of all design deliverables.
- Coordinate with building designer and architect to finalize the space and location of room.
- Develop preliminary and detailed design for the system in coordination with customers.
- Create strategies for risk identification, analysis, and mitigation along with contingency planning for the design and engineering.
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential new manufacturers / suppliers for equipment.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

**Minimum Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical building services (HVAC etc.) in major district cooling projects (Plants / Network / ETS) with utility provider / design consultant / EPC contractor
- Experience in ETS design highly desirable
- Experience working in GCC

**Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical)**:

- Proficiency in English
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of design management
- Familiarity with industry practices, local regulations, specifications, international standards, and new technologies
- MMUP Accreditation is preferred
- Computer literacy (AutoCAD and Microsoft Office in particular)

**Salary**: QAR25,000.00 - QAR30,000.00 per month
