**Position : AMI Expert/Specialist ( SMART Meters)**

Salary **:AED 18,000 to AED 20,000 ( Full Package)**

Mobile Allowance **:Will be paid by the company.**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Leadership**:

- Provide strategic direction and leadership in the deployment and management of AMI smart metering solutions across various government utilities in Qatar.
- Collaborate with senior management to define objectives, set targets, and develop strategies for optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing customer service.

**Project Management**:

- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of smart metering projects, from requirement gathering and solution design to implementation and post-deployment support.
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and successful delivery.

T**echnical Expertise**:

- Demonstrate proficiency in the configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of smart meters,
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Final Installation Integration Tests (FIITs) to validate system functionality and performance.
- Lead efforts to define functional requirements for Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) and associated Head-End Systems (HES), ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.

**Vendor Management and Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Engage with government utilities, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to address technical challenges, regulatory compliance, and market trends in smart metering technology.
- **Operational Excellence**:

- Monitor and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to smart metering operations, promptly addressing any deviations or performance issues.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of IT operations and smart metering infrastructure.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and governance frameworks to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in AMI smart metering, power consulting, project management, and operations & maintenance of power distribution systems.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale smart metering projects in collaboration with government utilities and private sector clients.
- Extensive product experience with smart meters, as well as various field assistance and Network solutions.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in AMI smart metering, load forecasting, and real-time power management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP) and familiarity with ITIL frameworks for IT service management is desirable.
