**About the role**:
This role is required as part of the Enterprise Info Architecture & Analytics team to:

- Expand and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture using middleware and cloud technologies
- Experiment with new technologies and concepts to deliver a real positive impact on the airport and its stakeholders.
- Enable HIA to continuously perform as a data driven organization.
- Activities may involve: Requirements gathering, data architecture and engineering.
- Supporting our software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives
- Ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.
- Stakeholder co-ordination and liaison with suppliers.

Key accountabilities include:
Operational
- Manage middleware platform
- Plan, Scope and Build integrations based on Business and Technical requirements to help centralize and streamline our IT transformation
- Enhance and replace outdated integrations and point to point solutions
- Investigate and recommend further improvements or other areas to pursue further integrations with
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for processing of structured and unstructured data
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and nonfunctional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
- Prepare raw data for manipulation by Data Scientists.
- Remain up to date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your work.
- Assist the team to ensure regular compliance with change and other relevant processes of ISO 20000.
- Conduct root cause analysis of reported incidents in operational systems and ensure right changes to code, test and promote fixes following the established incident management process based on ITIL.
- Acquire and transform data from various source systems in line with business priorities, solving for the key challenges of big data - volume, variety, velocity and veracity.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation to ensure adequate data lineage, governance and compliance with information, security and other relevant policies.
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
- Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and document work.

**Solution Design & Delivery**
- Facilitate gathering and documenting requirement and business objectives for advanced analytics.
- Design, communicate and negotiate technical solutions and implementation plans with various stakeholders.
- Deliver committed projects and tasks using agile software delivery methodology.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Address and develop integration needs of the organization for the new initiatives and transformation projects
- Contribute to the evaluation and procurement process for data related technologies or COTS systems/products to meet business objectives.
- Ingest data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Develop real time data streaming from/to operational systems, IoT devices etc.
- Define and develop standards for system integrations and interface development

- Develop awareness and training content for business users to enhance the data literacy.
- Drive the usage and adoption of the self-service integration platform and data engineering tools.

Management & Leadership
- Work as a team member, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of delivery.

Personal development
- Improve soft skills through HIA trainings and seminars.
- Attend technical workshops delivered by line manager
- Complete online technical courses and certifications as per the direction of line manager.
- Keep abreast of market trends and technology developments.

- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent quantitative discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Integrations and Mircoservices
- Airport domain experience is preferred but not essential.
