**Job Overview**:
Monitor, perform and advise on matters related to Environmental as directed. May also conduct HSE Tasks as assigned.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement processes to ensure adherence and compliance with company and site/vessel specific Environmental terms, requirements and project deliverables.
- Lead and drive a common and consistent risk based HSE Culture throughout the project.
- Develop and lead implementation of the HSE-MS as required by the contract and in line with corporate and of regulatory requirements in relation to environmental critical activities (e.g. Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Contractor interfaces).
- Develop an integrated approach to HSE and environmental risks and effects management across project and contractors
- Support the planning and execution of the internal environmental audit and compliance assurance programs
- Provide SME input to complement site specific procedure and training presentation reviews and delivery
- Establish KPI’s relevant to the site/vessel complete with measurement and in compliance to the global environmental indicators
- Develop, implement and maintain environmental management systems in compliance to International standards (e.g. ISO 14001environmental management system)
- Monitor compliance against documented Environmental requirements through a systematic regime of compliance audit, performance monitoring and front line inspections. Establish acceptable monitoring and measurement tools, set objectives and measurable goals through acceptable statistical analysis
- Early identification of new and merging local and applicable environmental regulation and interpretation of its impact on the site/vessel business plan
- Preparation and alignment of environmental management plans, objectives and systems with company / client requirements
- Lead / direct investigations following incidents and accidents to identify root cause and ensure that resultant recommendations are acted.
- Ensure that satisfactory reporting has been undertaken for process and statutory requirements.
- Review and provide Environmental input to MOC’s and Lessons Learned
- Review/Approve subcontractors and vendors for equipment and services
- Attend and provide input to forums such as kick off meetings, constructability reviews, readiness reviews, etc.
- Other duties connected with HSES function, as directed by Senior Manager, HSES/Environmental

**Essential Qualifications and Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Science
- 10 + years within the Energy or Construction Industry and preferably within EPCI project execution
- Functional, business, and industry knowledge.
- Professional Membership of relevant institutions preferable
- Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader
- Have wide experience with technical activities, including onshore and offshore operations
- Maintain key competencies associated with the Environmental function
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven track record of successful implementation of environmental management systems
- Know and interpret local Environmental laws, codes, regulations and norms
