DESCRIPTION

**Primary Purpose of the Job**
To develop and coordinate the company's Core Business Directorates/Departments business continuity planning to ensure timely and effective response to a disruption; and to resume, recover and restore the delivery of products and services consistent with the company's business continuity objectives.

**Principal Accountabilities**
1. Develop and provide to the Core Business units with corporate business continuity requirements, tools and guidance to ensure effective business continuity planning for critical processes and assets.
2. Support the Core Business focal points in business impacts analysis to determine business continuity priorities and requirements.
3. Coordinate and monitor identification of the risks of disruption to the company's prioritized activities and to their resources, analyze and evaluate the potential impact of the identified risks and support Core Business to ensure preparation of effective business
continuity plans.
4. Coordinate and verify development of cross-departmental business continuity strategies and solutions to deliver recovery of prioritized activities within the identified time frames and agreed capacity, shorten disruption period and limit the impact of
disruption on the company.
5. Supervise selection of cross-departmental strategies and solutions to ensure that the requirements to continue and recover prioritized activities within the identified time frames and agreed capacity are within the company's ERM risk appetite.
6. Provide SME inputs and lead Core Business Directorates/Departments focal points in development of effective business continuity plans and procedures to achieve integrated response to a disruption.
7. Assess, evaluate, analyze and enhance response teams’ and their alternates capabilities to develop their authority, responsibilities and competencies to perform their designated roles during a disruption.
8. Provide business continuity planning training to action parties and other interested parties to build and maintain the company's business continuity capability.
9. Develop and recommend action plans for continual improvement of Core Business Directorates/Department business continuity capabilities.
10. Monitor global and local business continuity best practices and use them as benchmark for BCMS improvement.

**Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience**
1. Degree in Engineering, Science or Business Continuity Management.
2. Minimum 10 years of oil & gas, chemical / petrochemical industry experience in various roles, of which at least 5 years should be in BCM components. Certification from international institutions is required.
3. Proven experience in corporate governance, risk management and/or business continuity management.
4. Proven ability to multi-task under the pressure of tight deadlines and senior management exposure.
5. Proven ability in analytical thinking, computer modelling skills, economic analysis and team working.
6. Understand performance drivers, inherent risks and potential business disruption scenarios.
7. Excellent presentation and report writing skills in English language.
