About the Role

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Management team. As the Civil Supervisor you will be responsible to monitor & supervise the Civil Works executed by appointed Contractors within Doha based properties of Qatar Airways. One of the key aspects of the role is to do on time coordination of activities done by multiple contractors working at same time in single or multiple project for timely implementation of safety measures, accuracy of executed works, compliance with procedures and reporting of progress.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work as a member of a team comprising of in-house Subject Matter Experts, Interior Design Team and CAD assistants for execution and documentation of Projects within or in vicinity of Commercial as well as Residential Properties both owned or leased by Qatar Airways within Doha.
- Check Consultant’s / Contractor’s Design / Material / Shop Drawings / Method Statements / Risk Assessment document submittal for compliance with intended purpose as well as Standards codes and regulatory requirements for all out sourced jobs.
- Communicate with Contractors and / or Consultants in accordance with Terms & Conditions of Contract / approved Method Statements / Risk Assessment documents / Technical correspondence / material selection and works Program.
- Implement and manage the Permit to Work process of the department. Assist in preparation of scope of works for minor improvement projects with on-site measurements / quantities take off required for Bill of Quantities. Assist in identifying scope of Builders work.
- Liaise with Departmental colleagues, trade specialists, assigned contractors and third parties to achieve timely work completion maintaining quality, HSE and time lines.
- Attend and participate in meetings with third parties as well as in house training as requested.
- Keep fellow team members and project managers informed of work progress, program slippage, quality issues, constraints and deadlines.
- Inspect or visit sites to ensure quality of work. Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free.
- Produce quality reports when relevant such as site inspection reports.
- Maintain record of working hours of hired manpower engaged for single or multiple activities happening at same time.
- Assist with additional duties as requested by Line Manager / Department / Senior Management.
- Maintain Site diary recording daily works, observations, HSE issues and activities performed.
- Assist in archiving of project documentation & drawings including but not limited to incoming information and outgoing information, as built Drawings, Authority approved drawings. Maintain an up to date and comprehensive records of the works - Document Control.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of Quality, OH&S and Environmental management systems while interacting with 3rd party workers and Supervisors.
- Oversee and supervise Contractors’ employees deputed for various trades. Direct daily activities, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Conduct pre-work briefings and tool box talks with Contractor employees at start of project as well as prior to any critical activity.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Line Manager and / or Head of the Department.

**Qualifications**:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Facilities Management Team who can recognize themselves in the points below.
- Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential from recognized institutions.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Project Management Qualifications required.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- 2 years of experience as Site Inspector in Quality Assurance and related works is required
- 3 to 4 years of experience working in Qatar is preferred
- Experience as Site Engineer / Site Agent on high value Construction Project - USD 50 Million or above - is required.
- Proven experience as construction Supervisor / Expeditor or equivalent position is essential
- Should be excellent in time management / man management & coordination skills in order to handle competing deadlines
- Ability to understand Industry standard technical specifications of material and equipment is mandatory
