**The Role**:
**Pressure Equipment Integrity Engineer - Utilities**

**What's the role?**

The Pressure Equipment Integrity Engineer (PEI Engineer) is responsible for pressure equipment integrity at Pearl. The job involves aspects of inspection, materials, welding, quality control, quality assurance, equipment design, procedure review, and creating / updating pressure equipment standards and specifications. In addition, the PEI Engineer provides technical support to operations and maintenance on day-to-day plant issues and during plant operational / equipment problems. The PEI Engineer ensures all pressure equipment is designed, fabricated, operated, inspected, maintained, altered and repaired in a manner that provides pressure equipment integrity conforming to required standards and specifications. They are an advocate for pressure equipment safety and strive towards ZERO LEAKS. The PEI Engineer proactively improves and executes the site pressure equipment integrity management system and work processes.

Job Accountabilities
- Responsible for compliance to regulatory requirements covering pressure equipment including new construction, repairs and alterations.
- Mechanical engineering support to Execution processes (Maintenance and Turnaround).
- Provide engineering support in the identification and assessment of damage mechanisms typical to plant equipment.
- Shared responsibility for the maintenance of the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM) program (including Temporary Repairs / Mechanical Integrity document review).
- Responsible for equipment re-rating, fitness for service evaluations and remaining life assessments.
- Provide engineering support for the development of inspection and repair plans.
- Implementation of Management of Change (MOC) process as a user and technical reviewer.
- Participates in Turnaround preparation activities and scope development.
- Provide technical input to projects to ensure adherence to Group standards.
- Perform failure investigations, and root cause analysis (Prepare Lesson from Incident (LFI) reports, Action investigations).
- Support Management of Threats and Opportunity (MTO) process as threat owner or discipline support.
- Participate in Causal Investigations.

- Deliver the Mechanical Integrity priorities collaboratively through the asset reference plan.
- Focus on priorities, seek improvements, and work together across multi-disciplinary Area teams to close the gap to potential and deliver bottom-line results.
- Identify opportunities for cross-learning, standardization and optimization between the Mechanical Integrity teams, including ways of working and resource sharing, to deliver on the overarching priorities of Pearl.

**What we need from You**
- 5+ years experience in Pressure Equipment design, repair and alternations.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Familiar in PVElite, Caesar and Signal FFS software.
- Excellent stakeholder management, Communication and prioritization skills.
- Mechanical Static Engineer TA3 or in progress of developing to TA3
