**Job Summary**:
The Specialist Emergency Medicine is responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries that require immediate attention. The role involves assessing patients, initiating treatment, stabilizing conditions, and coordinating with other specialists to ensure comprehensive care. The incumbent must comply with the licensing requirements of the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) in Qatar.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Care**:

- Perform immediate assessment and treatment of patients presenting with life-threatening conditions in the Emergency Department.
- Stabilize and manage patients before transferring them to the appropriate department for further care.
- Conduct follow-up visits to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Request and interpret diagnostic tests to guide clinical decisions.
- Develop and implement effective patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide clear discharge instructions, including any necessary follow-up care and medication regimens.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Refer patients to appropriate specialists for further evaluation and management.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients.

**Professional Development and Training**:

- Actively participate in department development plans, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
- Engage in training programs for medical, technical, and nursing staff to enhance knowledge and skills within the department.
- Participate in committees aimed at improving departmental services and organizational work.

**Administrative and On-Call Duties**:

- Participate in scheduling and fulfilling on-call duties as required by the department.
- Assist in the evaluation and procurement of necessary medical supplies, drugs, and equipment.

**Research and Continuous Improvement**:

- Contribute to research activities and scholarly initiatives to advance the field of emergency medicine.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in emergency care and implement best practices.

**Compliance and Professionalism**:

- Adhere to the hospital's policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform special procedures within the scope of privileges granted.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Head of the Emergency Department.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid specialty certification or equivalent (e.g., Arab Board or equivalent).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) in Qatar.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency experience in an emergency or urgent care setting.
- Proficiency in advanced life support techniques (e.g., ACLS, ATLS, PALS certifications).
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

**Work Environment**:
The Specialist Emergency Medicine will work in a fast-paced Emergency Department equipped with state-of-the-art technology, alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering exceptional care.

**Additional Information**:
Pay: QAR35,000.00 - QAR40,000.00 per month
