As a Senior Executive
- Corporate Communications at Al Jazeera Media Network you will be responsible for assisting in implementing internal and external communication strategies for the network.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Internal**:

- As part of the networks employee engagement initiative you will be tasked with planning weekly coverage of the networks internal updates which are published weekly on the Networks Internal Portal.
- Creating a schedule of communication objectives and milestones for each project.
- Manage effective news-gathering and interviews for the internal Portal
- Coordinate and facilitate corporate communications from all internal entities.
- Lead internal communications initiatives.
- Effectively lead internal communications team to achieve overall objectives.
- Work with the team to organize conferences, meetings and town halls for the purpose of facilitating communication between management and employees.
- Organize events that foster relationships amongst employees and provides them with a sense of belonging.
- Contribute towards communication write ups.
- Translate necessary contents as and when required.
- Liaise with relevant entities within the Network to facilitate internal communications and messages.
- Maintain and update daily personal log of activities on shared folder.
- Work on AJMN and channel specific communications within Al Jazeera’s overall Communications strategy.

**External**:

- Ensure proactive engagements to promote channel’s content and corporate brand.
- Execute PR campaigns internationally for all Network’s entities and products, including press conferences and PR events.
- Provide copy writing for various PR purposes, e.g. Press releases, social media posts and other communication materials.
- Create extensive relations with regional and international media institutions and journalists.
- Liaise with News, Programs teams as appropriate to identify key publicity needs and opportunities that support the implementation of publicity campaigns.
- Identify, develop and coordinate regular Channel specific information concerning programming, news materials.
- Liaise with AJMN divisions to plan and execute all PR and Communications strategies aimed at raising the profile and content amongst regional and international audiences.
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of trends and developments across PR and Communication domains.
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with media and provide professional and efficient responses to enquiries.
- Maintain, research and quantify data analytics and measurement with regard to campaigns.
- Engage with audiences proactively and reactively, dealing with issues of concern.
- Effectively coordinate crisis communications to avert any negative publicity.
- Media monitoring and effective response to issues concerns Network’s entities and brand.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Assist the head of section on preparing the quarterly and annual activity reports detailing internal communications achievements, results, and evaluation, whilst continuously updating the report when needed as per implemented campaigns and events.
- Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested.

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Communications or Business related field.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in journalism, communications or other related fields is preferable.
