**Job description**:

With operations in 60 countries and a workforce of around 35,000 talented individuals, they are committed to unlocking possibilities and delivering excellence. they are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Qatar on a long-term basis.

Overview / Responsibilities:
**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out Civil engineering work to support the field development of oil and gas production facilities.
- Plan, organize, and control a segment of the Civil/Structural engineering deliverables for the project.
- Prepare Civil deliverables ensuring compliance with engineering codes, standards, and the client's policies and procedures.
- Conduct analysis and design using engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, SACS, Matt 3D, etc.
- Ensure all work is completed with high quality and delivered according to the project schedule.
- Collaborate with the Client's Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance staff to ensure a consistent approach to project completion.
- Provide technical advice and innovative solutions to address diverse technical problems within the discipline.
- Assist in coordinating all activities related to Civil engineering design.
- Identify any areas of concern regarding progress and/or quality and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Liaise with other disciplines and designers to accommodate their requirements.
- Collaborate with Designers in the preparation of CAD drawings, civil drawings and details, using software such as MicroStation, Smartplant 3D, E3D, AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, Tekla, etc.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward safety in both design and office environments.
- Provide relevant practical skills and support for site visits, surveys, queries, discussions, and activities related to suppliers, vendors, contractors, clients, and the site.

Skills / Qualifications:

- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven core Civil Engineering skills, including design experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Experience in a variety of projects and phases, including greenfield and brownfield, on and offshore, from Pre-FEED through to EPC, with a focus on offshore upstream.
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with a drive for high achievement, initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good organizational awareness.
- Ability to impact and influence fellow workers.
- Customer-focused with the ability to respond to customer needs while achieving project and corporate objectives.
- Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology.

Additional Requirements:

- Availability for work in Doha, Qatar
- Demonstrable experience of working independently or remotely from technical leadership personnel (functional leadership will be within the Doha office).
- Demonstrable experience of working within a small project office, supporting cross-discipline activities beyond their core discipline.
