Hydrogeologist

As a key member of our team, you will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities including:
**Responsibilities**:
Ø Work closely with technical staff and client service managers to provide geological and hydrogeologic technical expertise on projects.

Ø Execute on projects and provide technical, quantitative and hydrogeologic knowledge in areas such as (but not limited to); groundwater investigation and supply studies, groundwater remediation efficacy, groundwater/surface water interaction, hydrogeologic conceptual model development and groundwater numerical modeling.

Ø Evaluation and interpretation of test data.

Ø Interpret and analyze various forms of geologic and hydrogeologic data to build a conceptual model of the groundwater regime including contamination.

Ø Participate with a team of engineers to perform groundwater flow and transport modeling in support of project work (environmental, water supply, mining, oil, and gas, etc.)

Ø Determine nature, extent, fate and transport of contaminants and source areas at environmental sites.

Ø Work independently, exercising professional judgment to develop and recommend solutions that meet client expectations and goals.

Ø Position may include task/project management and some business development opportunities.

Ø Provide technical documentation and presentations.

Ø Produce high quality products on schedule and within budgets in a fast-paced environment.

**Skills, Qualifications, and Experience**:
Ø BS in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field with specialization in quantitative hydrogeology and groundwater modeling. MS degree preferred.

Ø Knowledge of different drilling methods, geophysical techniques and experience implementing hydrogeologic characterization studies including well design and construction, packer testing, aquifer testing and analysis and water quality sampling techniques.

Ø Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Ø Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.

Ø Experience in preparing data analysis sections of consulting project reports is required.

Ø Can work remotely and with Hydrogeology experience at South Africa.
