**Package**:
**3 Year contract (renewable)**
- Single and family contracts available.
- Generous Tax free basic salary. **15 000 - 27 875 Qatari Riyals per month**.
- Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
- Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
- Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
- School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.

**Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)**

Postgraduate degree in Medical Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science, Bio Engineering, Biomedical engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Medical Imaging, Computer science.

**Required certification/licensure**:
Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable and should be eligible for license in Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

**Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)**

For ‘Radiation Oncology’ & ‘Nuclear Medicine’ roles - 3 years licensed experience in Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, PET CT, or PET/MR

For ‘Diagnostic Imaging’ & ‘Health Physics’ roles - 7 years licensed experience in radiation fields (Medical Research, Academic) including 5 years licensed experience in Radiation Safety (including non-ionizing radiation safety such as laser) or in Diagnostic Medical Physics and/or MRI.

**Language Skills**:
Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

**Specification**:
**Position Summary**:

- The Medical Physicist overseas all the physics practice in the Hospital.
- This includes radiation protection, Physics practice QA program, dosimetry, acceptance, testing and commissioning of new equipment training of other staff.
- The Medical Physicist will develop, execute and maintain programs pertaining radiation protection and safety in various practices in the medical field such as diagnostic radiology, health physics, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Regular monitoring of the radiation equipment to ensure correct and consistent results or outputs are achieved.
- Plays a major role in the commissioning/acceptance testing of highly complex equipment.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance routine is followed.
- Training and advising technical staff on new equipment and protocols.
- Researching new equipment developments and techniques, assessing the impact on existing local practice and compiling reports to initiate changes.
- Acting as on-call duty physicist to respond to problems, provide advice and technical assistance.
- Develops, contributes, participates and complies with quality improvement programs and competency assessment initiatives of the department.
- Complies with the Employer’s policies and procedures; and in particular infection control, safety and quality Management
- The additional specific account abilities related to sub specialties (‘Radiation Oncology’, ‘Nuclear Medicine’, ‘Diagnostic Imaging’ & ‘Health Physics’) are attached with the relevant addendum's.
- Performs other duties as requested.
