**JOB TITLE**:Draughtsman (Designer)**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- The role of the Draughtsman is to produce technical drawings and graphics to international best practice and standards.
- A Draughtsman shall support the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Operations Technical Personnel Development Team (OTPD) and follow the instructions and reasonable requests from Line Managers and Supervisors.
- The duties of a Draughtsman include those items listed in Section 2 - Primary Duties, but also include any reasonable request that is received from Line Management or via the client.
- Development of training plant schematics.
- Advanced Microsoft Office - Expert with MS PowerPoint, Word etc.
- Advanced skills in working with graphics and professional Power Point presentations - for updating and publication of training materials and manuals.
- Desktop publishing / graphics.
- Production of P & ID, PFD, cutaways, schematics, graphics, and pictures related to the oil and gas industry.
- The Draughtsman shall faithfully and diligently carry out their duties at all times and ensure that they act as an ambassador for the company.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Must possess an excellent level of English language ability, spoken and written and comprehension.
- Minimum of 10 years’ working experience in similar roles in any industry but oil and gas beneficial.
- Expert level user of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, SharePoint, Access, Publisher.
- Experience of animated graphics and technical diagrams and schematics for use as teaching aids (within PowerPoint but also online/digital learning) would be advantageous.
- Experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud Software would be an advantage.
- Experience of developing training plant schematics would be beneficial.
- Experience of Adobe graphics software may be useful.
- Experience with technical drawing software including AUTOCAD, AVEVA E3D Design, AVEVA PDMS 3D etc.
- Must possess a Degree (Relevant technical BSc or BEng or BA related to graphic design/illustration etc.
- Technical engineering degree related to oil and gas discipline is preferable or BA related to graphic design, illustration with experience in oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience to design and draw all types of technical drawings (P&ID, PFD, cutaways, schematics etc.), graphics related to oil and gas industry and training.
- Experience of Adobe graphics software is desirable.
