Acmv Estimation

Responsible for estimating costs and preparing detailed quotations for Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems in construction projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for ACMV systems, including HVAC (Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, ductwork, fans, exhaust systems, etc.
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements for ACMV installations based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.
- Review design documents, specifications, and mechanical drawings to identify the scope of work and estimate the required materials and labor.
- Prepare ESP (External Static Pressure) calculations for fans and other equipment.
- Ensure in-depth knowledge of ACMV-related standards, including air quality, noise control, and ventilation efficiency.
- Analyze project drawings, including HVAC and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) plans, to identify any gaps or discrepancies in the design.
- Request quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluate pricing for materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensure the proposed systems are feasible based on site conditions, local codes, and regulations.
- Work on material submittals and pre-qualifications as per project specifications and requirements.
- Have knowledge of electrical and control work for HVAC systems.
- Maintain attention to detail with the ability to identify potential cost savings while ensuring system efficiency and compliance.
- Perform value engineering to propose cost-effective solutions while maintaining project performance and quality standards.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certifications in ACMV systems, HVAC are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ACMV estimation, HVAC design, or related fields, with a focus on large-scale commercial or residential projects.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards (ASHRAE, local building codes, NFPA, QCDD).

**Experience**:

- Preparing detailed cost estimates for ACMV systems: 3 years (preferred)
- Review design, specifications, and mech drawings: 3 years (preferred)
- Request quotes from suppliers and subcontractors: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Mechanical Engineering Certificate (preferred)
- Professional certifications in ACMV systems (preferred)
