The Project Cost Analyst will be responsible the preparation of project schedules and cost analysis files using data gathered and stored in the Primavera 6 Planning and Scheduling Software. In addition is position will work with various departments and personnel to collect information on project costs, forecasts and trends, and will assist with maintaining and updating schedules throughout the project, providing verbal and written reports to project and site management.

**POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensures complete and accurate information regarding scope, logistics, and constraints for project planning and scheduling.
- Ensures preparation, review and maintenance of project estimate worksheets are completed accurately and by desired dates.
- Provides final analysis of project data on time.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of the monthly Project Revenue Backlog.
- Work with the Accounting team to ensure that the project costs are properly coded and captured in the cost tracking reports.
- Assist with the maintenance and review of periodic reporting formats.
- Review the Daily Status Update (DSU) and correlating expense reports/receipts for accuracy.
- Provides clients with schedules/billing forecasts as requested.
- Ensures field material orders match material shipments to ensure accurate assignment of materials to projects.
- Review project invoicing agreements and monitor project status to develop accurate customer billings.
- Assist as needed with the maintenance of asset tracking tools.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees, clients, field, and safety personnel.
- Other duties as may be assigned by management.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Associate degree in Business or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of a degree equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
- Not less than 3 years in cost tracking or similar role
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment.
- Must be self-directed; able to manage time and projects independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from customers, field personnel, sales staff, production and planning staff.
- Ability to gather, analyze and interpret detailed information.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skill level in Excel, and on accounting software packages, Primavera P6 experience a plus.
- Estimating, cost control and cost forecasting skills a plus.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
There is a mínimal risk of injury. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average at least 40 hours a week and may require some additional hours.
