Mason - Facilities

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry materials.
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise work.
- Utilize tools and techniques for decorative masonry work as required.
- Perform restoration and preservation work on historical or aging structures, including cleaning, repointing, and repairing masonry elements.
- Order and manage the inventory of masonry materials, ensuring an adequate supply for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with procurement to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations related to masonry work.
- Work closely with other members of the facilities team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide input during the planning and design phases of construction projects.
- Inspect and maintain masonry tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment issues or malfunctions promptly.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a masonry apprenticeship or vocational training program.
- Proven experience as a mason in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in working with various masonry materials, including bricks, concrete blocks, and stones.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and building codes related to masonry work.

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift heavy materials and use manual and power tools.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical agility and stamina.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Additional certifications in masonry or related fields.
- Experience with specialized masonry techniques, such as tuckpointing or bricklaying.
- Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient building practices.

**Salary**: From QAR2,300.00 per month
