The Liquid Bulk Operator is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient handling of liquid products within a bulk storage or transportation facility. This role involves managing the loading, unloading, and transfer of various liquid substances, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
**Operations Management**:*

Operate and monitor equipment such as pumps, valves, and hoses to transfer liquid materials. Coordinate and execute the loading and unloading of liquid bulk materials onto/from tankers, trucks, and storage tanks. Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and equipment inspections.

**Safety and Compliance**:*

Adhere strictly to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies during all operations. Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address potential hazards or maintenance needs. Conduct emergency response drills and follow established procedures in case of spills, leaks, or other incidents. Comply with industry standards and regulations related to the handling, storage, and transportation of liquid bulk materials.

**Equipment Maintenance**:*

Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality and prevent breakdowns. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities for timely repairs. Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules to uphold operational efficiency.

**Communication and Collaboration**:*

Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues. Communicate effectively with truck drivers, suppliers, and customers regarding loading/unloading procedures and requirements. Provide training and guidance to new employees or contractors regarding safe handling practices and operational procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**:*

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education in related fields is advantageous. Proven experience in liquid bulk handling, preferably in a similar industrial or transportation setting. Knowledge of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards governing liquid bulk operations. Familiarity with operating and maintaining equipment used in handling liquid materials (e.g., pumps, valves, hoses). Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficient computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
