We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Sewing Trainer to join our team. The Sewing Trainer will work closely with the Education/Operations Manager to create and deliver engaging sewing classes and workshops.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and deliver sewing courses and workshops that are engaging, informative, and cater to different skill levels.
- Ensure that course materials and equipment are prepared and ready for each class.
- Provide hands-on instruction to students, helping them to develop their sewing skills and techniques.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and assist them in identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
- Work closely with the Education/Operations Manager to develop new course materials and improve existing ones.
- Help to create promotional materials and marketing campaigns to attract new students.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
**Requirements**:
- Degree, Diploma or Certification in Fashion Design, Tailoring, Textiles, or related field.
- At least 2-5 years of professional experience in sewing. Prior sewing course teaching experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, patterns, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Passionate about sewing and teaching.
