**SHORT DESCRIPTION**

A Marble Polisher is a machine that polishes marble. It uses rotating abrasive discs to remove the surface finish and create a smooth, shiny finish.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- A good eye for detail and a steady hand are necessary skills when polishing marble.
- Knowledge of how to use common tools, such as a saw or chisels, is also important.
- Marbles must be carefully cleaned before they can be polished; otherwise the surface will become dulled over time.
- The right type of cloth (usually microfiber) should be used in order to avoid scratching the marble's surface - too much friction can cause chips or even cracks in the stone.
- Finally, experience is key: only someone with plenty of practice can polish Marble smoothly and evenly
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings or schematics of machines being polished
- Excellent attention to detail, able to see small imperfections in the marble surface that others might not notice
- Ability to work quickly and smoothly with a polishing wheel on a machine
