**Objective**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA/CMA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Qatar's tax laws and regulations.

**Skills**:

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and tax-related tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1.** **Tax Compliance**:

- Stay updated with Qatar's tax laws, regulations, and amendments to ensure accurate and up-to-date tax compliance.
- Prepare and file timely and accurate tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other applicable taxes.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and government authorities when necessary to resolve tax-related matters.

**2.** **Contract Management**:

- Review contracts and agreements to identify tax-related clauses and obligations.
- Ensure that tax implications and withholding tax requirements are properly accounted for in contracts and agreements.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to negotiate favorable tax terms in contracts.

**3.** **Withholding Tax Compliance**:

- Monitor and ensure timely and accurate withholding tax deductions from payments to vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to accurately calculate and report withholding tax liabilities.

**4.** **Financial Reporting**:

- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports that accurately reflect tax-related information.
- Reconcile tax-related accounts and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.

**5.** **Risk Management**:

- Identify potential tax risks and proactively implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct regular reviews of tax procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.

**6.** **Cross-functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, legal, and procurement to ensure alignment on tax matters.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding tax-related inquiries.

**7.** **Documentation and Recordkeeping**:

- Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related documents, contracts, and communications.
- Ensure that records are easily accessible for internal and external audits.
