As an Events and Exhibitions Officer, you will be responsible to support the Events and Exhibitions Team in executing corporate events by managing administration tasks and in the deployment support of the event project on-site. Manage urgent requirements related to senior management and company stakeholders. Also, be responsible to provide a wide range of support to the region by ensuring that each initiative reaps in the best possible returns for the airline from events perspective by assisting in obtaining the required goals through events contacts.

Other key responsibilities are:

- Implement the company's events and promotions on a regional and international scope:

- Research and plan marketing events, including but not limited to Qatar Airways sponsored events, Trade workshops and localized regional events.
- Be a focal point for all events-related initiatives from planning to execution.
- Hold pre-event meetings to discuss logistics, goals and execution before events.
- Hold follow-up meetings to events to discuss successes and improvement possibilities for future events.
- Assist with the implementation of the corporate events, projects, promotions and exhibitions by supporting on administration duties such as finance, procurement, transportation and hotel arrangements.
- Maintaining database of suppliers and keeping abreast of new hotels and exhibition centers.
- Maximize branding opportunities at all QR events/exhibitions, including destination launches, by ensuring that all QR collateral are updated and implemented on-site as per the agreed plans.
- Assist with preparation and approvals process for events related budgets, by raising necessary internal and external documentation for the project.
- Project leader for local events of each station under the regional scope for further handling and assessment in coordination with the concerned station.
- Keep track of project costs to ensure execution is within pre-approved budgets through managing project financial trackers.
- Responsible for overseeing promotions/marketing materials and giveaways, item stocks, projecting demand and overseeing distribution and recovery of material.
- Make an on-site visit and takes notes/pictures, collects information that will further assist in preparation of recommendation reports and decision making for Tier 2 events.
- Contribute in developing new promotional materials involved in the development such as raising the administrative paperwork with Finance and procurement to secure options.
- Writing Memos for senior management to proceed and obtain internal approvals as requested.
- Ensuring deadlines are met in closing files of all events financially and according to the budget and timelines.

**Qualifications**:
About You
- Relevant College or University qualification
- Minimum 4 years job-related experience
- Previous work experience in Events, Exhibitions or with an Event Agency
- Experience in a position related to events/promotions
- Command of English language. Excellent written and spoken English language
- Related industry knowledge.
- Awareness of the events and conference industry.
- Understanding of Project management.
- Full understanding of event planning cycles.
