**VMware vSphere & NSX ADMINISTRATOR**

We are looking for a V**Mware Systems Administrator** to support the development of entire systems from the identification of requirements to the deployment of capabilities for VMware vSphere and NSX components. This position will design and develop system-oriented products and prepare the related installation, testing, operation, and maintenance specifications and instructions.

**SKILLS**:

- Experience with rack/wiring diagrams, firmware, and driver management
- Experience with multi-site infrastructure deployments Experience with NSX, vROPs, vRNi, vRLi
- Solid understanding of networking, VLAN, GENEVE, and VXLAN Ability to configure and integrate storage devices (SAN, NAS) supporting VMware infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, OSPF, BGP, Static routing, VR, and ACLs, NAT, and familiar with Load balancer concept.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 10+ years of experience supporting modern secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure
- 10+ years of experience supporting VMware vSphere Infrastructure components.
- 5+ years of experience supporting VMware NSX
- 5+ years experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, and other scripting languages for accelerating system administration of large groups of servers
- 5+ years experience utilizing VMware vROPs, vRNI and other available tools for alerting and reporting
- 5+ years experience in information security and network operations
- Exposure to RHEL/CentOS virtual servers

**CERTIFICATIONS**:

- **VMware Certified Professional (VCAP-DC) preferred.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCAP-NV) preferred.
- MCSA2016
- CCNA or CCNP
- ITIL

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES**:

- Lead the effective Operations support of the VMWare production platform
- Lead the effective Operations support of NSX-V, NSX-T networking technologies
- Provide scripted solutions to daily tasks using PowerShell, PowerCLI.
- Assume a leadership role in internal projects that help scale the environment
- Help implement best practices and improve the overall methodology of operational support
- Lead and support other team members effectively to maintain our server infrastructure support model
- Assure 24/7/365 systems availability for compute platform and associated components
- Utilize VMware vRNI, vROPs, and emerging tools to diagnose and improve network performance in the virtual infrastructure
- Support the deployment and configuration of automation creating virtual networking
- Configure and monitor network security in a multi-tenant environment
- Monitoring integration with other software-defined networking technologies
- Demonstrate a high level of skill in configuring, troubleshooting, and administering IT server virtualization and networking generally
- Administration of VMware virtual environment using vSphere spanning multiple data centers and networks.
- Installation and configuration of VMware vCenter Server.
- Installation and configuration of VMware ESXi hosts.
- Perform troubleshooting of existing environment and new deployments in VMWare servers.
- Conduct active monitoring of the environment and respond to alerts and errors.
- Document, review, and update system administration guides and procedures.
- Configure and troubleshoot VMware virtual switches and NSX switches.
- Configure and troubleshoot vSAN, ISCSI, and NFS datastores.
- Assist other system administrators with troubleshooting virtual machines (Microsoft, RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.) and virtual desktops.
