**Job Purpose**
- The Project Manager is responsible for representing the organization to external stakeholders such as architects, designers, interior decorators, engineers, quantity surveyors, and external project managers on building projects commissioned by the organization.
- The Project Manager receives technical documentation and inputs from external partners and evaluates this in liaison with the appropriate staff from the organization.
- The Project Manager represents the organization’s interests contractually and for the purposes of project management. Attention to time, quality, value for money, financial transparency, safety, legal liabilities and project delivery according to each project’s scope and specifications is our key performance areas.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Projects Specification**
- Prepare initial statements of project objectives, taking into account the organization’s core operations and identify constraints applicable to each project.
- Establish the requirements for any professional skills, procedures and program management for projects, as well as legal, insurance and financial services required.
- Participate on project committees.
- Participate in decision-making about the appointment of third-party suppliers.
- Assist in the appointment of any project team members for an organization-controlled project.
- Issue information, decisions, approvals and instructions to designers, consultants, suppliers and agents.
- Implement any feasibility studies and/or cost options required to assist in the implementation of a project.
- Develop and maintain a project strategy.
- Give advice on methods of procuring construction.
- Manage development of the project brief and oversee its implementation.
**Project reporting and control**
- Develop and maintain a management structure and communications environment within which all consultants, contractors and other persons can perform effectively.
- Identify any relevant project procedures, including existing processes, administrative actions such as the frequency of reporting, control procedures for program costs and contingencies, risk management, and performance and design quality reviews.
- Prepare and maintain cost information in co-ordination with third-party estimates.
- Monitor performance and activity. Lead, coordinate and prepare a Project Execution Plan and a Project Program. Develop and manage change control procedures.
- Facilitate communications between the project teams. Ensure communication from the organization’s committees or senior management takes place in a manner that promotes the organization’s interests and views.
- Maintain international good practice on projects in terms of financial probity, health and safety standards, ethical transparency, construction and industry standards, government regulations, and the legal responsibilities of all parties.
- Review the progress of design work.
- Coordinate and review the work of consultants and site inspectors.

**Knowledge**
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A working knowledge of BIM and design software such as AUTOCAD.
- Proven proficiency in project management techniques such as Prince2 and/or PMI.
**Qualifications**
- Degree and/or Diploma qualified: B. Arch. or B Eng or other chartered professional.
- PMI certificate is an advantage.
**Experience**
- Experience of international construction practices is highly valued for this position.
- Knowledge of the construction industry in the GCC is an advantage.
- Knowledge of planning, commercial and legal skills
