Position**:Restaurant Steward - Cleaner**

**Overview**: As a Restaurant Steward and Cleaner, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant's dining area and kitchen. Your primary responsibilities involve cleaning and sanitizing various areas, including tables, floors, and restrooms, to create a pleasant and hygienic environment for guests and staff. Additionally, you will assist in supporting the kitchen team with basic tasks to ensure smooth restaurant operations. With your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, you will contribute to the overall guest satisfaction and success of the restaurant.

**Responsibilities**:
Cleaning and Sanitization:

- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other surfaces in the dining area to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Sweep and mop the dining area floor regularly to remove debris and spills.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms to ensure a hygienic environment for guests and staff.
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.

Kitchen Support:

- Assist the kitchen staff with basic tasks, such as washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including storage areas and preparation stations.
- Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures while handling kitchen equipment and materials.

Restocking Supplies:

- Restock dining area supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils, as needed.
- Ensure restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, are well-stocked and available for guests.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with the restaurant staff, including servers and kitchen personnel, to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address cleaning needs and potential issues.

Health and Safety Compliance:

- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring proper sanitation practices and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the management team promptly.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a restaurant steward, cleaner, or in a similar position is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently to maintain cleanliness during busy periods.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety practices in a restaurant setting.
- Flexibility to work during peak business hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
