Mechanical/piping/welding QA/qc Inspector

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct QA/QC inspections of mechanical, piping, and welding work to ensure compliance with approved procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Perform NDT activities such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Radiographic Testing (RT), including film interpretation.
- Inspect welding activities and ensure all welding work is done according to approved procedures and in compliance with standards.
- Inspect and monitor GRP piping installation, ensuring the work is completed according to relevant specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure tank repairs comply with industry standards and regulations, especially in line with API 653.
- Maintain and review inspection records and ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Work closely with engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality control and assurance during project execution.
- Perform detailed inspection and testing of mechanical, piping, and welding activities during both fabrication and installation phases.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- **Degree holder**: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- **Diploma holder**: Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC and NDT activities for the oil and gas industry (12 years of experience for diploma holders).
- At least 5 years of experience post-qualification in welding inspection activities.
- Relevant experience in GRP piping jobs, if applicable.
- Experience in tank repair activities, with an emphasis on API 653 certification.
- **Certifications**:

- **Welding**: CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI or equivalent certification in welding.
- **NDT**: ASNT or equivalent Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Radiographic Testing (RT), including film interpretation.
- **Tank Repairs**: API 653 Certification for tank inspection and repair activities.

**Job Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of welding, piping, and mechanical inspection techniques.
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections and compile inspection reports.

Pay: From QAR7,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

- CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI or equivalent certification in welding. (required)
- ASNT/equivalent Level 2 certification in UT, MT, & RT (required)
- API 653 Certification for tank inspection and repair. (required)
