**About the role**:
As Technical Officer - Landscape, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:

- Ensure the full implementation of the landscape maintenance related Service Level Agreement
- Monitor the condition of indoor and outdoor landscaping assets, including the irrigation systems, across Hamad International Airport (HIA and Doha International Airport (DIA), by performing regular periodic onsite audits and inspections, to ensure the adequate completion of the preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders as per the outsourced maintenance contract specifications and requirements
- Prepare formal reports of technical observations, deficiencies and suggested remedies found during audits and inspections, to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform daily inspections of the planting areas to detect the presence of any harmful insects and plant diseases, to identify and resolve any potential health risks to the landscape.
- Monitor the on-hand quantity of key landscaping spare parts and consumables held by the outsourced maintenance contractor, by conducting regular audits, to ensure the optimal quantities are available at all times and are stored in a safe and secure manner.
- Document instances of landscape plants mortality, through the defined reporting process, to ensure timely replacement as per the approved method
- Assess the performance of pesticides, fertilizers, and other products applied on the landscape areas, by monitoring their effectiveness during onsite audits, to formulate the most appropriate products to deploy as part of the planned maintenance strategy.
- Periodically assess the availability, condition, and efficiency of the landscaping tools and equipment provided by the incumbent maintenance supplier through periodical team's reports, while ensuring audits and inspections are periodically performed to ensure compliance against the terms of the contract.
- Assess the efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of the landscaping watering program, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of irrigation to the landscaping assets
- To ensure that the landscape facilities are safely operated and maintained
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

**About you**:

- High School Qualification/Vocational Qualification/Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years work-related experience.
- OR with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years of work-related experience
- Horticultural related qualification
- Must have experience in landscape maintenance, irrigation systems and indoor plant maintenance
- Must have audit skills and writing technical documents and reports
- Nursery experience is a plus
- Command of English language
