Overview

The Regional Operations Director - SL O&M is responsible for managing all operational activities of the Service Line (SL) in the assigned regions and sub-region, in compliance with the Global Service Line & Regional Business Line strategic orientations. This includes development and implementation of the O&;M Service Line’s standards and procedures, consistent with the global O&M Service Line, and full P&L responsibility including Order Intake Targets, Gross Margin and DSO.

Additional responsibilities include the development and management of the business plans, pursuit plans, project methodologies, technical and commercial leadership as well as project staffing requirements and talent management beside improving operational performance and securing compliance within the organization. This also includes maintaining excellent business relations with existing clients as well as developing portfolio of new clients & opportunities.

The role requires collaboration with the RSLD, the central O&M, Service Line, the Country Managing Directors, the Regional and BL BD teams, Tender Units (Regional and O&M Service Line), as well as Division directors.

**Specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Establish and maintain an effective organizational structure and skill base to meet the needs of the Operational Divisions within the Service Line current services in the short term and eventual diversification in the longer term.
- Evaluate and plan for future geographical market extension and align the strategy to take advantage of any changes or opportunities, industry trends and break through innovations.
- Work closely with peers within the Service Line and within the Region to create and develop synergies and cross-fertilization.
Ensure appropriation among the team and alignment on the O&M Service Line strategy and objectives.
- Establish P&L forecasts in accordance with the target GM, and ensure that forecasts are accurate.
- Coordinate effective teamwork to meet or exceed forecasted targets.
Responsible for maximizing financial operational results of the service line within the region including gross margin, cash flow (DSO) and invoicing.
- Responsible for executing and ensuring effective delivery of operational and budgetary objectives.
- Complete commercial evaluations and pricing recommendations to the organization with regards to the service line’s activities.
- Operational Capability
Responsible for effectively defining and implementing the projects delivery strategies.
- Work with HR, both at Regional and Business Line levels, to recruit, mobilize and manage staff including future project demand planning, talent acquisition, mobility and rest.

**Profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in operations management within the infrastructure, construction, or utilities sectors.
- Proven track record of leading operations across multiple countries and managing diverse teams.
- Experience in the Middle East market is essential, with a strong understanding of local business practices and regulatory environments..
- In-depth knowledge of operation and maintenance (O&M) services related to infrastructure, marine and coastal construction, utilities, and bridges & steel construction.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, P&L management, and financial forecasting.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record in strategic planning and team management.
- Ability to formulate and implement strategic business plans that align with the company’s objectives and market trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively interacting with and influencing various stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
