The Lifting Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations, ensuring they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. With 10 years of experience in the field, the Lifting Supervisor will leverage their expertise to lead a team, manage equipment, and enforce best practices to ensure safe and effective lifting operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision and Leadership**:
- Supervise and mentor a team of lifting and rigging personnel.
- Assign tasks and manage workloads to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and training to team members.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Ensure all lifting operations adhere to safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, API, and other relevant guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for lifting operations.
- **Planning and Coordination**:
- Plan and coordinate lifting operations, including the selection and positioning of equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure lifting plans meet project requirements.
- Review and approve lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- **Equipment Management**:
- Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and repair of lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and rigging gear.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety and performance standards.
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service providers as needed.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, equipment inspections, and safety audits.
- Prepare and submit reports on lifting activities, incidents, and safety performance to management.
- Ensure all necessary permits and documentation are obtained and up-to-date.
- **Emergency Response**:
- Lead emergency response efforts in the event of an incident or accident during lifting operations.
- Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 10 years of experience in lifting and rigging operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications such as Crane Operator Certification, Lifting Supervisor Certification, and First Aid/CPR.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in lifting and rigging preferred.
- **Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lift plans.
- Proficiency in using lifting and rigging software or tools.
