Maintenance Planner for Shore/port/container

Review work requests and plan work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Estimate labour hours, tools, materials, and resources needed to complete different work orders.
- Prepare preventive maintenance plans and schedules that are in sync with the organization’s maintenancerequirements.
- Monitor applicable metrics and improve planning performance.
- Coordinate with crane operators and technicians, and other maintenance supervisor to ensure timely and efficient execution of work orders.
- Inspect cranes and other lifting equipment daily, perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary.
- Control cranes, lifts, and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site.
- Act as the primary liaison person between maintenance and operations.
- Lead communication between maintenance and other internal beneficiaries of maintenance work to ensure that everyone receives timely, efficient, and quality service.
- Perform on-call functions providing maintenance resources.
- Plan an efficient amount of backlog to ensure a steady flow of value-added work for the scheduling of maintenance.
Initiate work orders for equipment requiring outside work.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with port cranes, Shore Cranes, or similar equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Knowledgeable in the use of various tools and instruments for testing and repairing port cranes.
- Ability to work under pressure, in various weather conditions, and at heights.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Good mechanical knowledge
- Good electrical knowledge
- Good PLC knowledge
- MS-Office
- Good Computer Knowledge (Preferably experience in SAP)
- Languages: English
**Salary**: From QAR6,000.00 per month
