**Job Title**: Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) Crane Operator

**Location**:Qatar

As a Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating our RTG crane equipment to facilitate container handling operations at our port facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe movement of containers within the yard area, adhering to all operational and safety protocols.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safe Operation**: Operate the RTG crane equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- **Container Handling**: Maneuver containers within the yard area, including loading and unloading trucks, stacking containers in designated storage locations, and transferring containers between storage areas and transport vehicles.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the RTG crane equipment to ensure optimal performance, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or defects.
- **Yard Management**: Work closely with yard planners and supervisors to prioritize container handling tasks and optimize yard space utilization, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing congestion.
- **Communication**: Maintain clear and effective communication with other port personnel, including yard operators, supervisors, and logistics coordinators, to coordinate container movements and resolve any operational issues.
- **Documentation**: Accurately record and maintain documentation related to container handling activities, including container manifests, movement logs, and equipment maintenance records.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergency situations or equipment malfunctions, following established emergency procedures and protocols.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and port operational policies, including weight and height restrictions for container stacking.
- **Training and Development**: Stay updated on RTG crane operating procedures, safety regulations, and equipment technology advancements through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) Crane Operator or similar role in a port or maritime environment.
- Valid certification or license to operate RTG crane equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures related to port container handling operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks in a demanding and sometimes hazardous environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of operational efficiency and safety.
