**Job Title**: MEP Supervisor

**Location**: Doha, Qatar

**Job type**:1 month (with a possibility of extension)

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Project Planning and Coordination**:

- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for MEP systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure MEP systems meet project requirements

**Supervision and Leadership**:

- Supervise and lead a team of technicians and subcontractors working on MEP systems.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

**Installation and Maintenance**:

- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

**Quality Control**:

- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure MEP systems meet design specifications and performance standards.
- Address any deficiencies or deviations from plans promptly.

**Budget and Cost Management**:

- Monitor project expenses, track costs, and manage budgets for MEP work.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficient resource allocation.

**Risk Management**:

- Identify potential risks and hazards related to MEP systems and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks to personnel and property.

**Client Communication**:

- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
- Resolve any issues or disputes related to MEP systems in a timely and professional manner.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including drawings, specifications, change orders, and as-built documentation.
- Prepare regular progress reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, or a related field is typically required. Relevant vocational training or certifications may also be considered.

**Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in MEP construction, installation, and supervision are usually necessary. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.

**Technical Skills**: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, fire protection, and plumbing fixtures. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

**Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, schedules, and priorities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

**Attention to Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance and control. Ability to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential risks in MEP systems.

**Problem-Solving Skills**: Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address technical challenges, resolve conflicts, and implement solutions efficiently.

**Regulatory Compliance**: Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to MEP systems. Ability to ensure compliance and navigate regulatory requirements.

**Project Management**: Experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Familiarity with project management software and tools is advantageous.

**Leadership Abilities**: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills are essential.

**Professional Certification**: Optional certifications such as Certified MEP Professional (CMEP), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) may be advantageous.

MEP Supervisors play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of MEP systems in construction projects, requiring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management capabilities.
