**Responsibilities**:

- **Tile & Marble Installation**: Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other types of tiles and stone surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, floors, walls, patios, and other spaces.
- **Layout & Alignment**: Plan and execute layouts, cutting tiles and marble to size using wet saws, tile cutters, and other tools, ensuring precise alignment and spacing.
- **Cutting & Shaping**: Measure and cut tiles, marble, and stone to fit around fixtures, edges, and corners using power tools and hand tools.
- **Repair & Replacement**: Remove and replace broken or damaged tiles, re-grout surfaces, and repair subfloors or underlayment as necessary.
- **Client Consultation**: Work closely with clients, designers, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
- **Material Selection**: Assist clients in selecting appropriate materials based on their needs, style preferences, and durability requirements.
- **Tool Maintenance**: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring they are clean and safe to use.
- **Safety & Compliance**: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Proven experience as a tile and marble setter or in a related construction role.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in cutting, setting, and finishing tiles and marble, with experience in using tile cutters, wet saws, levels, and trowels.
- **Precision & Detail**: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate measurements, clean cuts, and perfect alignment.
- **Physical Ability**: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, stand for extended periods, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to surface unevenness, tile spacing, and installation problems.
- **Blueprint & Layout Reading**: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design layouts for tile and marble installation.
- **Time Management**: Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple projects at different stages.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with advanced tiling techniques, such as mosaic tile work or complex marble installations.
- Knowledge of different types of tiles and stones and their properties, including durability and maintenance.
- Certification in tiling or stone setting from a recognized institution.
- Experience working on large commercial or high-end residential projects.
