**About this role**
- Responsible for implementing the purchasing process in an effective and efficient manner to convert purchase requisition into purchase order in line with company regulation, procedures and standards.
- Perform review of the user requirement and resolve any inconsistencies, including but not limited to technical specification, lead times, quantitates and estimated values.
- Carry out review of technical specifications, price comparisons and commercial evaluations and prepares award recommendation, prepare award documents (purchase orders) and change/variation orders.
- Support SLA and KPI processes and implements performance reports and key deliverables in order for executions, such as administration of bonds/guarantees, progress payment and expedite delivery for emergency, critical, and high value requirements for oil and gas operations. Prepare award documents (purchase order) and change/variation orders.
- Execute pre-qualification and technical proposal exercise to facilitate development of technical specifications and price estimated.
- Assist in expediting of material deliveries in coordination and support through leveraging the supply base relationships, support and monitor vendor performance matrix to enhance vendor performance portfolio.
- Keep track of trends and developments in market place that may impact the price and delivery of material and equipment for oil and gas operations, shutdowns and projects.
- Record risk in the Risk Register and assist in implementation of risk management strategies.
- Maintain high level of integrity in line with company ethical policy and upholds confidentiality in the business process
**What you need to bring**
Qualification
- Completion of Secondary (12 years) Education with continuing education programs, however, Higher National Diploma or Graduation is preferred.
- Membership of international supply chain institutes is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in purchasing equipment’s and materials, preferably in oil and gas environment.
- Fluency in verbal and written English required.
- Ability to read drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge of materials technical specifications, engineering standards, material testing procedures (NDT) and regulatory requirement in oil and gas industry.
- Ability to perform in a demanding business environment
