**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inspect the installation, maintenance, and repair of refractory linings in high-temperature equipment such as furnaces, kilns, reactors, and boilers.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and plans to understand the scope of refractory work and ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects, wear, cracks, or damage to refractory linings.
- Assess the quality of refractory materials, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards (e.g., ASTM, API, ISO).
- Monitor the installation of refractory materials, ensuring proper procedures are followed, including curing, drying, and heating cycles.
- Use various testing methods (e.g., ultrasonic testing, thermal imaging) to evaluate the integrity and quality of refractory materials.
- Verify that the proper types of refractory materials are used for specific temperatures and environmental conditions (e.g., acid-resistant, basic, high-alumina).
- Conduct periodic inspections of refractory linings during operation to ensure they continue to meet operational requirements and safety standards.
- Ensure that proper insulation, sealing, and surface finishing techniques are employed during installation and repairs.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, photographs, and recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other project personnel to address any issues or deviations found during inspections.
- Review and approve material certifications and quality control documents from suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations during refractory installation and maintenance work.
- Assist in the development of maintenance schedules for refractory systems and contribute to long-term maintenance planning.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with new refractory materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
