Ride Technician

Job SummaryJob Summary:

- To inspect, maintain, install and repair rides and attractions. Repairs and inspects elevators and moving walkways in the park. Enthusiastically represents Aura Entertainment by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

- Ensures excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs.
- Performs daily inspections on rides, attractions, elevators and disassembles motors and their controls.
- Works on computer controlled equipment.
- Fills out inspection and work order forms and cleans ride areas.
- Uses, stores and disposes paint, oil, solvents and other chemicals.
- Uses micrometer, calipers, volt ohmmeters and other precise measuring devices. Maintains and repairs gears, gearboxes and gear motors. Works with PLC programmable controllers.
- Disassembles and overhauls hydraulic power units, accumulators, and associated. Works with low voltage electrical systems.

- Must have skills and knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with all guests, co-workers and management.
- ust be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work independently and have a positive attitude.

Ability to trouble-shoot problems and present solutions for a variety of situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- General math skills including, but not limited to basic algebra, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and the ability to read measurements.
- Must have skills and knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.

**Experience**
- 3 - 5 years of previous maintenance experience; experience in an Amusement park setting desired.

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor's Degree in in any Engineering related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical) or Electrical Certificates or equivalent
