Roles & Responsibilities
- **Financial Reporting**:Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**:Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Handle accounts receivable, including billing and collections.Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- **General Ledger Maintenance**:Maintain general ledger accounts.
- Post journal entries and ensure proper documentation.Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Monitor and report on budget variances.Support financial forecasting and planning processes.
- **Tax Compliance**:Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage sales tax filings and other regulatory requirements.Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- **Internal Controls**:Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- **Payroll Processing**:Process payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related queries.Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- **Financial Analysis**:Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**:Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Ensure financial data is organized and easily accessible.Support audits and respond to audit queries.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:Communicate financial information clearly to management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.Provide financial training and support to non-financial staff.
- **Software and Systems Management**:Utilize accounting software and systems efficiently.
- Stay updated on new accounting software developments.Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
