**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Spring Hanger Design & Analysis**:

- Design and select spring hangers, supports, and restraints for piping systems in compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and project specifications.
- Perform detailed mechanical analysis of piping systems, ensuring that spring hangers and supports provide adequate load distribution and thermal expansion allowances.
- Develop calculations, including stress analysis, load analysis, and deflection checks, to ensure the proper functioning of spring hangers and supports.
- Ensure that spring hangers and supports are designed to accommodate the dynamic and static loads present in oil and gas systems, including seismic and thermal effects.
- **Piping Stress Analysis**:

- Perform piping stress analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., Caesar II, AutoPIPE, or similar) to ensure proper system design and identify any issues with spring hanger placements and configurations.
- Evaluate the effects of pressure, temperature, and vibration on piping systems and supports to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and structural teams to ensure that the spring hanger system is optimized for overall system integrity and performance.
- **Specification & Material Selection**:

- Select appropriate materials for spring hangers, supports, and other associated equipment based on the project requirements, environmental conditions, and the types of fluids or gases being transported.
- Develop and review specifications for spring hangers and piping supports, ensuring compliance with project standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API, and ISO).
- Ensure all components are compatible with the intended operating conditions, including temperature, pressure, and corrosive environment.
- **Project Coordination**:

- Coordinate with designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that spring hangers and supports are installed correctly and meet the design specifications.
- Review piping layout drawings and provide feedback on the placement and type of spring hangers and supports required for each section of the pipeline.
- Provide technical guidance during the construction and installation phase, ensuring that the correct components are used and installed according to plan.
- **Troubleshooting & Technical Support**:

- Provide troubleshooting support for spring hanger-related issues encountered during construction, testing, or operation.
- Review field reports and assist with resolving any problems related to the installation or performance of spring hangers and supports.
- Offer expert advice on solutions to improve system performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- **Quality Control & Documentation**:

- Ensure that all spring hanger designs, calculations, and specifications are well-documented and meet the required quality standards.
- Maintain and organize design records, calculations, and technical reports for future reference and project audits.
- Ensure that all activities comply with the company’s quality assurance procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- **Client & Stakeholder Communication**:

- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure the spring hanger systems meet project needs and expectations.
- Prepare and present technical reports, design proposals, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, providing expertise on spring hangers, piping systems, and stress analysis.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (required).
- Relevant certifications in Piping Design, Stress Analysis, or other related fields (preferred).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Piping Engineer with a focus on spring hangers, supports, and restraints, specifically in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in designing and analyzing piping systems with knowledge of spring hanger types, materials, and installation practices.
- Hands-on experience with piping stress analysis software (e.g., Caesar II, AutoPIPE) and related engineering tools.
- **Certifications (preferred)**:

- Professional Engineer (PE) License or Chartered Engineer status (preferred).
- Certification in Piping Design or Stress Analysis (e.g., ASME, API certifications).
- HSE certification relevant to the oil and gas industry.
