**About the role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to and review Documentation of Functional Specifications, Interface Specifications and Nonfunctional Requirements.
- Design and build IT solutions which are scalable, resilient and sustainable to address business requirements
- Assist to develop the UI / UX as per the business needs.
- Proficient in UML, Prepare I Review High Level and Low Level Design artefacts, ensure adherence to QRIT Software Governance Integration (SGI) standards.
- Responsible for development and unit testing for complex modules in case of bespoke development.
- Responsible for solution design, methods and tools, including the technical aspects of configuration management methods, system security requirements, operational and maintenance aspects of solutions under development.
- Ensure quality control activities (including NFR testing) are carried out satisfactorily. Attends quality reviews as appropriate.
- Co-ordinates design activity, within a programme of change, acting as custodian of the solution designs for the entire technology stack.
- Takes responsibility for the technical integrity of solution designs, ensuring that common technical elements are recognized and that work is not unnecessarily duplicated.
- Supports in the development of service level agreements and any associated service guarantees.
- Conduct root cause analysis of reported incidents in operational systems and ensure timely fixes.
- Ensure that the solution reviews for the fixes, functionality is fully tested and then promoted following the software release management processes.
- To enforce compliance to QRIT policies while selecting solution design components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency in the assigned projects.
- Ensures that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring that solution design caters to functional, non-functional, security, service quality and systems management requirements.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

**About you**
- High School Qualification /Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level.
- Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics/ Sciences / Commerce/ relevant major.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Software Quality Assurance processes.

- Must have good analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

- Degree / Honors / Masters in Engineering / Computer Science.
- Relevant industry certifications such as COBIT, TOGAF, ITIL.
- Software development and maintenance, with key roles played in design and production maintenance, support, and performance management.
- Communication skills.
