Head of Music

We are looking for a passionate, highly effective Head of Music who can lead the development of our music department.

Qualifications and experience **essential** for this role are:
**Essential**
- Experience of teaching Music in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (i/GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (AS Levels and A Levels).
- A proven track record of outstanding teaching.
- An unwavering determination to deliver excellence for pupils from all starting points.
- Experience of teaching small group or individual guitar, piano or violin lessons.
- A high level of written and spoken English.
- Collaborative and able to work as part of a team.
- Culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Experience of organising music recitals, performances and school productions.
- A willingness to help organise and be involved in whole school celebrations involving music and performing arts.
- A willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications and experience **desirable** for this role are:
**Desirable**
- Experience of teaching internationally.
- Experience of ABRSM.
- Ability to teach Drama at Key Stage 3.
- Child protection trained.
