**Position Overview**: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Senior Planning Engineer** with a minimum of **10 years** of experience in the construction industry to lead and manage the planning and scheduling of complex, large-scale building projects. As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning process, managing resources, ensuring the timely delivery of projects, and providing strategic guidance to project teams. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Project Planning**:

- Lead the development of detailed and robust project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management for high-value building projects.
- Collaborate with senior project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- **Advanced Scheduling and Coordination**:

- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
- Integrate multiple project activities, such as construction, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and finishing works, into a cohesive and optimized schedule.
- Perform critical path analysis (CPA) and implement corrective actions to mitigate project delays and disruptions.
- **Team Leadership and Mentorship**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to the planning team, ensuring that planning procedures and schedules are adhered to across multiple projects.
- Mentor junior planning engineers, offering guidance on best practices and advanced scheduling techniques.
- Foster a collaborative team environment to ensure project milestones are met on time.
- **Cost Control and Budget Management**:

- Monitor, review, and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are kept within the approved limits.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend solutions to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Prepare and present regular cost and schedule performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- **Risk Management and Problem Solving**:

- Proactively identify project risks (schedule, financial, and operational) and develop mitigation strategies to address potential delays or cost overruns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling issues, coordinating with various departments and contractors to keep the project on track.
- Lead the implementation of corrective actions when deviations from the plan occur.
- **Stakeholder Communication and Reporting**:

- Prepare and deliver comprehensive progress reports, including KPI tracking, variance analysis, and schedule forecasts.
- Lead meetings with key stakeholders (clients, contractors, subcontractors) to provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
- Maintain strong communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are well-informed about project progress and any adjustments to the schedule.
- **Quality Control and Compliance**:

- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of planning-related documentation for approvals, audits, and compliance checks.
- **Continuous Improvement and Innovation**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the planning and scheduling functions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in construction planning software, tools, and techniques, and advocate for their adoption where applicable.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in the planning team.

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
