**Salary**:

- Up to 20,000 QAR

The Warehouse Materials Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient handling, storage, the stock/materials quality, segregation and disposal of expired/damaged stock, and distribution of materials within the warehouse. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Materials Specialist is a crucial member of the team, responsible for inspecting inbound materials and providing guidance on preservation requirements. By optimizing warehouse operations and ensuring the quality of materials, they contribute significantly to the overall success of the organisation. Their attention to detail and expertise in managing quality are essential for maintaining efficient operations and meeting customer demands.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**

**Inventory Management**:
1. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and issuing

materials. Record any type of cannibalization from a stock item to fulfil the emergency.

**Order Fulfillment**

2. Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders in terms of the quality including

dimension, as per drawing of the products to ensure timely delivery to customers.

**Quality Control**:
3. Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications; report any

discrepancies or damages.

**Organization**:
Ensure materials are stored in designated locations, optimizing warehouse space, and

facilitating easy access for retrieval.

**Documentation**:
4. Prepare and maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, such as receipts,

shipments, preservation, and shelf life of the preserved items.

**Safety Compliance**:
5. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of accidents or injuries in the

warehouse environment.

**Communication**:
6. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and production, to coordinate

material flow and resolve any issues or concerns.

**Problem Solving**

7. Identify and address any issues related to inventory discrepancies, order delays, or

operational inefficiencies.

**Continuous Improvement**:
8. Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and

effectiveness.

**Training**

9. Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on proper material handling procedures

and safety practices.

**Compliance**

10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies governing the

handling and storage of materials.

**Other**

11. Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.

**Communication**

**Internal Communication**:

- Manager - Warehousing & Distribution (4PL)
- Any team members or reports

**Purpose**:

- Operational issue resolution

**External Communication**:

- Customers
- Customs Authorities
- Government Ministries (MOE)

**Purpose**:

- Collaborate with customers to identify their requirements, increase customer retention

and drive growth in all activities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local procedures and processes
- Keep updated on regulatory requirements in regards to the storage, packaging, labelling

and distribution of supply chain commodities

**Occupational Health & Safety and Environment**

**Accountability**: Accountable to their line manager and direct reports so far as is reasonably

practical to ensure: a safe place or work; safe systems of work; safe plant & equipment;
provision of information and training.

**Responsibility**: Responsible for: His/her personal safety and that of all personnel under

his/her authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities. In

particular to: Conduct risk assessments on activities within their department ensuring that

the methods and safe systems of work are safe and implemented; Ensure all employees

and contractors under their control are competent to undertake their duties; Ensure all

accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated; Promote good

behaviors and set a personal example with regard to occupational health and safety

matters.

**Authority**: Managers/Supervisors have the authority to stop work when health and safety is

unsafe or being compromised

**Education & Professional Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- API 510. - Certified API 510 Pressure Vessel inspectors must have a broad knowledge

base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels.
- API-570 - API 570 covers inspection, rating, repair, and alteration procedures for

metallic and fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) pipin
