**OVERSEAS CONTRACT: GRADE 107**
**Basic Salary**:The **offered amount is the discretion of the employer.**
**Transport Allowance: 1000 QAR per month.**
**Accommodation**: Provided.
**Annual Leave**: 30 calendar days.
**Air Passage Entitlement**: Economy class air passage/flight ticket for self, on joining, annual leave & repatriation.
**Baggage Allowance**: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg on joining, and 100kg for self on repatriation, at standard rate.

**ESSENTIAL EDUCATION**:
3 Year Nursing Diploma. Preferred Bachelor Degree in Nursing with Central Sterile Processing Course.
**ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:
3 years experience in CSSD of which 1 year experience as in-charge CSSD role. Preferred: 4 years as in-charge CSSD.
**LANGUAGE SKILLS**:
Fluent in English.

**Position Summary**
To effectively manage the overall sterile processing operation of Central Sterile Services Department (staff, equipment, resources and budget) in a safe and efficient manner to achieve positive patient outcomes. Facilitating and coordinating the team Delivering products in a timely manner to meet surgical services Managing risks Performance Management This is achieved by teamwork, continuous quality improvement initiatives, effective use of resources, and keeping abreast with current regulatory standards thru active participation in national and international societies.
**Principal Accountabilities**
To provide leadership and support to overall operations of the department Performance indicators/outcomes Demonstrating a high level of expertise in overall knowledge and concept of sterilization and decontamination Managing the day to day activities of the department to achieve service delivery goals while effectively managing resources Preparing Plan (SLA) and Monthly Operating Report Assuming fiscal responsibilities, to include preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budget. Developing & implementing quality standards in keeping up with current changes in practice standards with reference to such as, Maintaining records and statistics and status of tasks reports Monitoring the departments' quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control programs. Providing information, advice and guidance to the Preoperative Services on unit issues and operations as required. To develop competent and committed team of CS staff Maintaining and developing training programs for Sterile Service Assistants/Technicians. Processes are in place to assess levels of competence to practice. Monitoring Sterile Service STAFF in achieving knowledge and competence Conducting performance review to improve competence. Acting as a resource person to staff and clients Discuss changes with Theatre, Team Leaders and staff. Implementing the process that brings about effective change Demonstrating professional development and on-going education Developing and implementing policies, procedures and maintaining quality assurance initiatives as required by external review agencies to ensure that established. Standards are maintained Ensuring unit service delivery exceeds customer expectations. Coordinating: - Keeps the Asst. Head and head of Dept. informed of conditions in CSSD Recognizes Job relationship and functions effective within the organizational Perform competently in new and emergency situations. Plan and completes duties in a timely manner. Coordinate work to achieve maximum productivity. Recognize and performs duties, which need to be performed although not directly assigned.
